Road to Ozark
High School Baseball Classic
YBM has been covering high school baseball in Missouri since 2021, and it was our first year covering the MSHSAA State Championships. In the course of covering the championships we began talking with Randy Merryman of Ozark Mountain Sports Complex. We began developing the idea of bringing teams to Ozark in a weekend of baseball with top teams competing from each of the MSHSAA six classifications in a showcase of talent and competition and who may have a shot at making the final four.
Our Goal for 2027
With this being the first year of this event is to create a championship atmosphere with teams that we will feature throughout the weekend, crowning a champion for each class. We want to have a total of four teams whether you can play one day or both days we will work to create the best possible situation for the participants. We will have featured stories of each team that will be posted to our YBM YouTube channel. Also, pre & post-game interviews, this is about featuring the talented players here in the state of Missouri.

Our Ultimate Goal
Road to Ozark in 2028 through 2031 we want to bring the top teams in a championship style event with four teams from the same MSHSAA classifications coming to Ozark. This is about getting a taste of the championship setting teams will face making the MSHSAA state championships.
Starting in 2028 we will have 4 teams playing in a state championship format and crowing a champion of the Road to Ozark. This will be a format that will have games on Friday & Saturday with featured stories appearing on the Youth Baseball Midwest channel, pre-game and post-game interviews meant to showcase the talent of Missouri high school baseball.

In 2026 we will see some of the top players from each class and many players that participated in the 2026 MSHSAA State Championships held at Ozark Mountain Sports Complex in Ozark, MO.
